The reality is that our lives are forever changed by the numerous technologies and inventions that have occurred throughout the history of humankind. These changes have largely been seen at the physical level, helping us to carry more, produce more and lift really heavy things.
Until recently we have eased the burdens of hard manual labour and toil through the development of machines. The machines are changing and we are seeing an ever increasing march towards automation and AI technologies, which are already 'helping us' with some of the heavy lifting we do with our brains, rather than just our brawn.
