The two Americas and why Covid seems to be ripping a society apart

The world is becoming increasingly polarised, but will Covid exaggerate this further and lead to the further division of society, creating two Americas?

If you have ever watched the movie The Good the Bad and the Ugly, you may be familiar with the line: "You see, there are two kinds of people in this world, my friend." The more famous version of this quote is followed by the line, "those with loaded guns and those who dig."

These days it seems there are two types of people in this world, those who take the Covid vaccine and those who don't.

But then, a few months ago, before the vaccines were cleared, you could have said: "You see, there are two kinds of people in this world, those that wear masks and those that don't."

Then again, you could have just as easily said: "Those who think Covid is a fake virus and those that don't."

The same 'figure of speech' could apply to other areas:
