Woke capitalism versus enlightened capitalism
They used to say, "it is political correctness gone mad.' Now they just call it woke; it means the same thing. As for ESG, they call it woke capitalism.
Yet, woke literally means awake; in particular, it is interpreted as meaning; "awake to social injustice."
As ever, with new ideas, there will be false starts and wrong turnings, but is becoming more awake to social injustice also called progress?
